PUNCH TRYOUTS
Privacy notice
Your data in the tryout workspace
This notice explains how D.S.B.V. Punch uses and protects data in the Punch Tryouts app.
What the app is for
D.S.B.V. Punch uses this private workspace to register tryout participants, record attendance and player numbers, store arrival photos, and let authorized coaches submit assessments and proposed team ranges.
Data we handle
Participant data comes from the Punch tryout registration form and can include contact details, gender, birth date, height, basketball experience, availability, an arrival photo, attendance, assigned number, and coach assessments. Google sign-in provides a staff member's name, email address, profile image, and account identifier. Assigned staff without Google can authenticate with their email address and a securely hashed password. Authentication data is used only to verify the person and apply their assigned app role.
Where data is stored
Registration data is synchronized with Punch's Google Workspace spreadsheet. Arrival photos are stored in a restricted Punch Google Workspace Drive folder. Operational and authentication records are stored in Punch's database on its managed server. Password setup links are delivered through Punch Google Workspace. The app uses a necessary secure session cookie to keep staff signed in.
Who can see it
Access is limited by role. Registration staff can manage arrivals and attendance. Assigned coaches can also view players and assessments. Authorized Punch board accounts manage tryout years and staff access. Data is not sold or used for advertising.
Retention and requests
Punch keeps tryout information only while it is needed for tryout decisions, team placement, and related club administration, subject to applicable club or legal retention duties. You can ask Punch to review, correct, export, or remove your data where applicable.
